Hollyoaks' Owen Warner confirmed as fourth I'm A Celebrity contestant

I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! will be catapulting back onto our screens next month and now Hollyoaks’ Owen Warner has been confirmed as the fourth celebrity contestant.

Owen, 23, who is hoping to find romance in the I’m A Celebrity jungle, landed in Brisbane Airport and seemed excited to be heading into the ITV show.

He said: “I’m scared of all sorts of things to be fair. Snakes aren’t a bit of me, I don’t know why I have come to Australia! Snakes and spiders everywhere here.

“I don’t mind a bit of camping. When the weather is nice camping is great but when it is raining and cold it is not so cold.”

Looking laidback and donning casual attire, Owen wore shorts, a simple tee and a baseball cap as he walked through the lobby of the airport.

The actor is best known for portraying the role of Romeo Nightingale in the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks, and at 23 is the youngest contestant to be announced for I’m A Celeb this year so far.

Asked if he was leaving any loved ones back home he said he would miss his family and friends, but was single at the moment.

He said: “My mum is the one who is going to be the one missing me. I am single and ready for the jungle. I always looking for romance but I am not going in especially for that.

“I will miss football and family most.”

Owen said some of the cast of Hollyoaks knew he was going and had told him to “enjoy it”.

He said he will make a “half a heart” symbol for his mum on screen when he is missing her.

Owen was seen arriving in Australia today ahead of the new series

Owen is the fourth contestant to land in Australia ahead of the new I’m A Celeb series starting on November 6.

He once appeared as a guest on I’m A Celeb sister show Extra Camp and is thought to be using the show to boost his profile.

Owen landed his Hollyoaks role when he was fresh from dropping out of university, with it being his second ever acting role.

Although known for his Channel 4 work, the heartthrob’s first acting role was when he played the role of a skinhead in a short film called Beverly.

The Hollyoaks star donned a simple outfit as he arrived in Queensland

This comes after Chris Moyles, Olivia Attwood and Sue Cleaver were the first three celebrities to be revealed as part of the 2022 cast.

Love Island star Olivia will be ditching her lavish life in the UK for a few weeks in the damp jungle with an array of other celebrities.

After landing in Brisbane, the TV star told reporters that one of main things she would miss while she is in the jungle would be going four weeks without sex.

Olivia is set to make history as the first ever Love Island star to appear on the iconic show hosted by Ant and Dec, as former Islanders were previously barred from entering the jungle.
