Hollyoaks fans were left overcome with emotion during the latest visit to the village as Sid Sumner (Billy Price) shared some news with his loved ones.
The teen made a huge decision last week to leave the eponymous village after struggling to reconcile his past with present as a result of the ordeal he suffered at the hands of Victor Brothers (Benjamin O’Mahoney).
His girlfriend Lizzie Chen-Williams (Lily Best) struggled to comprehend why her boyfriend departed in such an abrupt way, but she finally got the answers she’s been craving when Sid staged his comeback.

Lizzie demanded an explanation and Sid was left with little choice but to fill her in on what he went through during the previous week, which ultimately left her stunned.
Sid’s explanation seemingly puts Dave Chen-Williams (Dominic Power) in the firing line and Lizzie wasted little time in issuing her dad with a harsh warning, making it clear that he’s not welcome to meddle in her personal life.
Lizzie was left gutted when Sid revealed he’s planning on going to Europe.
He also shared her life-changing plans with Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) and Leela Lomax (Kirsty-Leigh Porter).
As the trio shared a group huge, fans of the Channel 4 soap took to Twitter to share their reaction to the sweet scenes.
Taking to Twitter, one fan penned: “Farewell Sid Sumner. #Hollyoaks I will forever miss you.”
Another added: “Not Sid leaving” with a heartbroken emoji.
A third person posted: “I am so so not ready to see goodbye to Sid Sumner I really wish he wasn’t going.”
While a fourth social media user said: “I’m so gutted Sid is leaving, his character has made a huge impact and will be so missed.”
Billy Price made his debut as Sid back in May 2019.
The young actor has been at the centre of some of Hollyoaks’ most incredible storylines over the past three years, including the County Lines drug story.
Hollyoaks airs weekdays on Channel 4 at 6.30pm followed by a first-look episode on E4 at 7pm
