House of the Dragon fans horrified at foot sex scene and call it worse than Red Wedding

Reactions have continued to pour in for the controversial foot fetish scene on House of the Dragon.

Events took a sinister turn during the penultimate episode of the HBO fantasy show’s first series following the death of King Viserys (Paddy Considine).

As Alicent (Olivia Cooke) and her father Otto (Rhys Ifans) raced to find Aegon in order to declare him ruler of the Seven Kingdoms, Larys Strong (Matthew Needham) shared some key information with Alicent.

In return, Alicent stripped off her shoes and later socks – hiking up her dress to expose her bare feet while Larys pleasured himself.

The disturbing scene quickly sparked an explosion of online reactions.

Some fans have even deemed it “worse than the Red Wedding”.

Posting to Twitter, fans argued that Larys’ actions were worse than that of Walder Frey and Roose Bolton during the iconic Rains of Castamere episode.

Furthermore, they were convinced he had ultimately murdered his brother Harwin and father Lyonel for his own sexual devices.

A fourth viewer asked: “This guy Larys really murdered his father and brother just to get to beat off to Alicent’s feet???”
