I’m a Celebrity… Get Me Out of Here! star Scarlette Douglas has revealed her secret heartbreak as her pal died during her jungle stint.

The A Place in the Sun presenter, 35, appeared on Friday’s episode (December 30) of Good Morning Britain.

Speaking to hosts Gordon Smart and Charlotte Hawkins about the ITV programme’s One Million Minutes campaign, which encourages people to donate their time to charitable causes, Scarlette confirmed her time would be donated to her late neighbour Harry’s charity.

The 91 year old sadly passed away last month.

Scarlette said: “I’m absolutely going to pledge. It’s super important.

“I would like to pledge some minutes to my late neighbour Harry. He was 91 and passed away while I was in the jungle and I was devastated.

“He lost his wife to Alzheimer’s unfortunately and he now has a charity.

“He has a charity now Singing Down Memory Lane.

“They all get together every week to sing along and help those with Alzheimer’s… so I’m going to go sing along and donate my minutes.”

During her stint on the programme, Scarlette also paid tribute to late fashion designer Vivienne Westwood.

The punk icon’s death was confirmed in a statement by her family on Thursday (December 29), with Scarlette wearing a necklace from Vivienne’s brand in tribute to the late star.

Pointing to her necklace, Scarlette added: “This is for her. I have worn that.”

Scarlette’s sad loss follows her being left devastated by her A Place in the Sun colleague Jonnie Irwin’s terminal cancer diagnosis.

The star replaced Good Morning Britain’s regular entertainment correspondent Richard Arnold earlier this week.

She was the second celebrity to leave the jungle earlier this year.

Good Morning Britain airs weekdays from 6am on ITV1.
