Jade Goody’s husband and fellow Big Brother contestant Jack Tweed has found a new partner, 13 years after Jade’s death, who has been helping him organise a charity event in her honour.
Jade was just 27 years old when she died of cancer in 2009 after she skyrocketed to fame during her appearance on the third series of Big Brother.
She was hugely popular and went on to have her own spin off show until she was diagnosed with cervical cancer in 2006.
She later became terminally ill in 2009 and married Jack that year.
Jade died just a month after they tied the knot.
The final episode of Big Brother featured a 15 minute segment dedicated to the star and despite her dividing viewers throughout her life, opinions had softened and her passing shook the nation.
Jack, 34, has been dating personal assistant Ellie Sargeant for six months and she has been an imperative part of the charity event’s planning process.
A source spoke to MailOnline about their relationship: “Jack has really fallen for Ellie. They already share a close bond and are totally smitten with each other. It’s still early days but pals believe they have a great chance of a future together.”
Jack shared a video on his social media informing fans about the event.
He announced: “I’m proud to announce I’ve set up my own cancer rehabilitation charity in aid of my late wife, Jade Goody. This is very close to my heart and cervical cancer has affected millions of people all over the world.”
Jack then told fans that he will be “hosting a ball in aid of Jade” at Down Hall, where the pair were married, on July 21, 2022.
His voice faltered but he continued on: “Mark Wright will be hosting the night, we’ve got the Arg band performing and to top it off we’ve got a set from DJ Colin Francis.”
After he revealed the star studded lineup, Jack then told fans that there will be “welcome drinks” and a “beautiful three course meal”, along with “a raffle” and “games throughout the night”.
The former Big Brother contestant told fans to go to Cancer Rehab Trust if they were interested in tickets or had any enquiries, then signed off by saying he “hoped to see them there”.
