Jeremy Clarkson's daughter slams Therese Coffey's fat-shaming trolls for 'misogyny'

Jeremy Clarkson’s body confident advocate daughter Emily has slammed Therese Coffey’s fat-shaming trolls after the MP was announced as the new health minister.

Following Liz Truss becoming the third ever female Prime Minister and forming a government with a reshuffled cabinet, Therese was appointed as the new health secretary.

Since her appointment, a photograph emerged online of Therese enjoying a night out with a cigar and glass of champagne – which has led to questions being asked as to whether she is fit to take on her new role.

As well as this, she has also been shamed for being overweight – but Jeremy’s daughter Emily, 28, thinks that people shouldn’t be bringing her health up.

The 28-year-old was praised for her scathing video

Taking to Instagram to share a video, Emily spoke about Therese’s new appointment.

“One of the first things she did was go on LBC Radio where it was instantly insinuated that maybe she should look to lose a few pounds, given that maybe her lifestyle made her ill-equipped to be health minister,” she explained.

Emily went on that the insinuation that she should lose weight came from a viral photograph of Therese where she can be seen smoking a cigar and drinking champagne.

“People are calling into question her ability to do her job because of the lifestyle that she leads,” Emily added as she spoke incredibly quickly.

“Nobody though has made a reference to the fact that her predecessor (Sajid Javid) proudly said in an interview with The Telegraph that he liked a cigarette.

“Or the fact that his predecessor (Matt Hancock) was regularly pictured with a pint,” she continued.

Emily went on to explain how it’s clear that the government “like a party”, referencing that cocaine was found in Downing Street in 2021 and the fact that there are countless photos of them partying or drinking alcohol.

She went on to say that it’s apparent that they love to “get drunk” and “enjoy a party”, adding that “when men do this stuff ‘there lads’ but when women do it they’re ‘unprofessional and unqualified’ – and that is misogyny.

“There’s plenty of reasons to dislike this woman. Her voting record is atrocious – dislike her for that. But do not call her lifestyle into question because it’s irrelevant and unfair. Thank you.”

In the caption the blonde beauty penned: “We can dislike her for her horrible voting record, not her lifestyle xoxo.”

Fans of the body confidence advocate were quick to comment on the Instagram video, with many praising Emily for her take on the matter.

Say it louder for the people in the back,” said one follower in the comments section.

Another then added: “Well said, I agree there’s many reasons to not like her: but being fat or smoking or drinking alcohol do not make you unable to work or be smart.”

“Your best yet,” said a third.

While a fourth penned: “Oh you’re good.”
