Loose Women’s Carol McGiffen has offended her ITV co-stars with her brutal comments.
During Thursday’s programme (October 6), Carol was leading a segment about friendship when she told the girls some home truths.
Checking if she heard right, her co-star Nadia Sawalha asked Carol: “Are we not your friends?”

To which Carol replied: “Well, I wouldn’t call you all actual friends.”
Her co-stars Nadia and Kaye Adams then gasped in horror after hearing what she said.
Kaye told her: “We’ve known you for 20 years!”
Carol quipped: “I know but I don’t call you every day.”
She continued: “If we stopped working together would we be friends, probably not-I’m being honest.”
Kaye then looking offended, turned to Carol and fumingly said: “No, I don’t agree.”
Brenda Edwards then joined in on the conversation and said that she sees her colleagues as her “acquaintances” rather than mates.
Viewers also joined in on Twitter, with one writing: “@loosewomen An acquaintance is someone who you know. A friend is someone who you want to know #LooseWomen.”
“I take Brenda’s point. I had work friends who when I left that job exchange birthday cards with but the meeting for coffee got less and less and eventually stopped. I think thats natural. Life moves on and we meet different people. #LooseWomen.”
In further Loose Women news, earlier in the episode Nadia looked rather embarrassed when her phone went off live on air.
Nadia was talking to her co-stars during their first debate of the day when a notification went off on her phone.
Viewers at home also noticed and some took to social media to point out her blunder.
One fan tweeted: “Nadia’s phone just pinged. It’s so bloody unprofessional #LooseWomen.”For more of the latest showbiz news from the Daily Star, make sure you sign up to one of our newsletters here.
