Love Island's Jess Shears slams 'gross men' after posting breastfeeding snap

Love Island’s Jess Shears has slammed the “gross men” who commented “inappropriate” things on an empowering breastfeeding snap.

The 29-year-old former Love Island beauty welcomed her second baby boy last month, with her hubby Dom Lever, 31 – who she met on the ITV2 reality-dating show in 2017.

Jess and Dom keep their fans updated with their family life, and Jess did just this on July 13 when she posted a snap of herself breastfeeding her newborn baby.

Posing on the stairs in her home, Jess penned: “Getting ready now takes 1000000x longer,” hinting at how she needs to tend to her newborn and make sure he’s all sorted before her.

Racking up more than 20,000 likes, fans and pals of the star were quick to gush over how “amazing” and inspiring she is.

Fellow former Islander Chloe Crowhurst penned: “Oh you are amazing.”

While Geordie Shore star, Vicky Pattinson echoed: “You are amazing.”

Faye Winter from 2021’s Love Island added: “Incredible woman.”

And a fan penned: “Loving every inch of this beautiful picture.”

She explained how “gross men” had left comments on the snap

But the positive comments weren’t the only comments beneath the snap.

Jess took to her Instagram stories soon after to slam cruel and “gross” trolls – without disclosing what had been said.

Taking to her stories to post a snap, the mum-of-two was breastfeeding while looking totally confused by what she had read.

She penned over the snap: “Why must gross men comment inappropriate things on images of women breast feeding.

“It’s actually disgusting. It’s such a beautiful incredible thing that women’s bodies can do and you should be able to post about it without getting gross sleazy comments.”

She concluded with a frustrated: “Eurghhhhhhh.”

Jess then posted another breastfeeding snap and sarcastically put a thumb up to the camera and penned: “Cue the DMs saying you shouldn’t post about it if you don’t want people to comment.”

*Love Island airs weeknights and Sundays at 9pm on ITV2 and ITVHub.
