Masked Singer winner Joss Stone to return without Sausage costume for ITV show final

The Masked Singer UK series two winner Joss Stone will return to the show this weekend.

Pop star Joss, 34, will join Rita Ora, Davina McCall, Jonathan Ross and Mo Gilligan on the judging panel as a guest celebrity detective.

She will ditch her iconic Sausage costume as she gives her verdict on the 2022 finalists – Mushroom, Panda and Robobunny.

Speaking about Joss’ epic return, a source told The Sun: “As last year’s winner, Joss is the perfect choice to invite back to be the latest in a series of guest judges.”

The soul singer is not the only familiar face returning to the wacky guessing game show on Saturday night.

Series one champion and Girls Aloud icon Nicola Roberts, comedian Jason Manford and JLS star Aston Merrygold will duet with the remaining contestants.

The insider continued: “All four celebrities were sensational finalists on the first two series, so this almost feels like an all-stars episode to see out the current season with a bang.

“And it’s going to be hilarious to see Jason return to wear his Hedgehog outfit, Nicola in her Queen Bee costume and Aston return as Robin to perform duets.”

All of the stars who have already been eliminated from this year’s show will also return to perform again at the grand finale.

Traffic Cone star Aled Jones and Rockhopper singer Michelle Williams just missed out on a place in the final after they both got told to remove their masks during the double semi-final elimination.

Destinty’s Child member Michelle has since opened up on how she tried to keep her identity a secret on the show.

Appearing on This Morning, she told Holly Willoughby and Alison Hammond: “”I was having to do the prayer of repentance every time somebody was asking what I was doing. I was lying.”

She went on to explain how different her approach was to the UK version, having already appeared on the US outing back in 2019, and that she was more concerned with deliberately throwing the audience off than she was with perfecting her pitch.

The songstress explained: “[Before] I was concentrating on my vocal performance – ‘Sound good, give them what you’ve got’ – but on [this], I was like, ‘If you want to stay a little longer, I have to have some tricks up my sleeve.'”

The Masked Singer series three final airs Saturday at 7pm on ITV and ITV Hub
