Love Island star Maura Higgins has broken her silence since her intimate kiss with Joey Essex at the Pride of Britain awards on Monday night.
The well-known reality stars were spotted getting close at the prestigious event; sharing a smooch before leaving together in the same taxi.
But since social media went into a frenzy over 31-year-old Maura’s passionate kiss with Joey, 32, Love Island bombshell Maura took to Instagram and appeared to address the kiss.

Sharing her friend’s clip on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Maura could be seen licking her girl pal’s face, with the caption “she’s a licker”.
Maura then wrote: “It’s how I greet people.”
Maura pulled out all the stops at the Pride of Britain ceremony as she she was seen strutting her stuff in a stunning Disney princess-inspired gown.
The brunette bombshell donned a glamorous frilly yellow tulle dress inspired by Belle from the movie classic Beauty and the Beast.
The backless gown sported a halter-neck which hugged her figure effortlessly. She also opted to wear her hair pulled back with delicate curls.
Sharing an image of herself in the beautiful dress to her 3.5million Instagram followers, impressed fans shared their thoughts.
One person wrote: “You literally remind me of princess Belle in this picture! You are perfect.”
Another shared: “Beautiful dress Maura. Giving Disney Belle vibes.”
While a third commented: “Absolutely stunning, pretty, beautiful its my fav look with your hair curly and up you smashed it ….1st class chic xxx.”
Maura and Joey’s encounter comes a year after she split with from her Strictly Come Dancing beau Giovanni Pernice.
Her whirlwind romance with the professional dancer lasted four months but was said to have turned sour shortly after they decided to move in together.
At the time, Maura was reported to have been “absolutely devastated” by the breakdown in their relationship while Giovanni was forced to put cheating rumours to bed.
In a statement on Instagram, he said: “There was absolutely no wrong-doing and this should be the end of any speculation.
“Great relationships with great people can come to a natural end… This has been the case for me.”
