As reported by the Evening Standard, the open casting call reads: “Robert Sterne, Casting Director of the Netflix series The Crown , is searching for an exceptional young actor to play Prince Harry in the next series.
“It is a significant role in this award-winning drama and we are looking for a strong physical resemblance… Shooting will commence November 2022 in the UK. No previous professional acting experience is required.
“We are very experienced in providing a great deal of support for the young actors and their families through what they find is a uniquely rewarding creating process.”
This will surely be a popular season as viewers of The Crown have shot up since the tragic death of The Queen.
The Crown suspended filming on the day after the Queen’s death out of a mark of respect and also on the day of the funeral.
A representative for Netflix told Tyla at the time: “As a mark of respect, filming on The Crown was suspended today (9 September). Filming will also be suspended on the day of Her Majesty The Queen’s funeral.”
This is set to be the final season of The Crown, , which will cover the Queen’s reign into the 21st century.
But with news breaking of the tragic passing of the Queen, fans are now calling on the show’s top bosses to “honour” her death and create another series that covers her the end of her reign, having sat on the throne for 70 years.
“The Crown writers who planned to finish the show during the 2000s events realizing that they have to write a couple more seasons to logically finish the series – as they should! #QueenElizabeth,” said one fan.
“The crown writers better be preparing to write a new season on the queen’s death,” added a second.
A third added: “The Crown screenwriters right now manic as they know fans will be DEMANDING they honour our beautiful Queen,” followed by a gif of a scrambling office.
“The significance of this historical change will surely be considered by writers. If the show wants to ‘accurately portray’ the Queen’s reign, acknowledging her death is surely a necessity,” added another fan.
