Back to the Future’s original cast members reunited to celebrate the film’s musical hitting Broadway.
The iconic Hollywood movie, which hit movie screens around the globe in 1985, has been turned into a widely anticipated musical of the same name, which premiered in the West End in London in 2015.
The award-winning spectacle has now transferred to Broadway, with that production in previews before opening night next month.

A special gala showing was held at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City on Tuesday (July 25).
Among those in attendance were cast members from the film trilogy, including Michael J. Fox, 62, Christopher Lloyd, 84, and Lea Thompson, 62.
In the iconic cult-classic, Michael played the character Marty McFly in the film series, whilst co-star Christopher was cast as Emmett ‘Doc’ Brown, and Lea played Marty’s mother, Lorraine Baines-McFly.
The trio, who appeared in all three films in the Back to the Future trilogy, posed together outside the theatre whilst at the special night of the Broadway adaptation.
It also included a photo alongside Casey Likes and Roger Bart, who play Marty and Doc, respectively, in the production.
It comes nearly four decades since the release of Back to the Future (1985), which spawned the sequels Back to the Future Part II (1989) and Back to the Future Part III (1990).
Since its release, the original film has also inspired theme park attractions, a video game, a TV series, and other ventures.
Michael spoke about the legacy of the film series in an interview with Entertainment Tonight last year, saying that, for some reason, it “connects with people on every level”.
Discussing the original film’s success, the actor told the outlet that “people don’t just like it and remember it,” they instead “celebrate it and embrace it”.
Back to the Future: The Musical is now playing at the Winter Garden Theatre in New York City.
The West End production is at the Adelphi Theatre in London.
And a North American tour of the musical is scheduled for next year.
