Cher ‘hired four blokes to kidnap’ heroin addict son on his wedding anniversary

Hollywood icon Cher allegedly hired four men to kidnap her heroin addict son from a hotel room on his wedding anniversary, according to court documents.

The 77-year-old Oscar and Grammy winner was reportedly worried about the health of son, Elijah Blue Allman, 47, court papers. Allman and his estranged wife, Marieangela King, 36, were purportedly trying to “reconcile” on their wedding anniversary in November last year.

But their attempts to put the past behind them was interrupted. Unbeknownst to the couple, four burly blokes burst into the New York hotel room and kidnapped Cher’s youngest child, report the Daily Mail.

The troubled metal singer married King in 2013 before the couple fell on hard times. The KING singer claimed that she and Elijah had spent 12 days in New York trying to work on their marriage.

Four men burst into their hotel room on November 30, 2022, the night of the former couple’s wedding anniversary, King said. “I was told by one of the four men who took him that they were hired by (Elijah’s) mother,” she added.

Allman is now understood to be in rehab in Pasadena, California, after collapsing outside an LA-based hotel he was living in, say reports. “At first he looked like he was dead, but he had in fact passed out,” a witness said.

That very day, Cher reportedly had planned an intervention with her son, before staff at the infamous Chateau Marmont found his lifeless body, lying face down on the pavement leading to the hotel’s entrance. Police reportedly arrived two days later and escorted Allman out of the hotel.

Allman is the younger of Cher’s two children, and the son of her second husband, rock legend Gregg Allman. He admitted that he started taking drugs when he was 11-years-old, and has fought a long battle with heroin addiction.

The After All singer had a difficult relationship with her son as he grew up. Cher often went months, and even years, without even speaking to Allman, who she packed off to boarding school at the age of eight.
