Ex-EastEnders actor, Joel Beckett, departed from the realm of acting to embrace an entirely new position in a different field.
The actor, who played Jake Moon on the BBC show, has embraced a distinct endeavour since his character left Albert Square for good in 2006, as he has moved into the field of life coaching.
Through his services to clients, it’s apparent that the 49-year-old soap actor has been aiming to assist individuals in discovering their optimal selves.

Joel wrote on his official life coaching website: “I’ve experienced what it’s like to be on the cover of celebrity magazines, go on morning breakfast television and appear on national radio shows.
“I’ve done interviews for broadsheet newspapers, magazines and even the odd after dinner speech.”
He continued: “Why am I telling you this?
“It’s not because I like being on the front cover of a magazine, or because I want to name drop the people I’ve worked with.
“I’m telling you this because I’m proud of the work I’ve done and because I’m proud of possessing the skills and knowledge it takes to combat the huge highs and lows of the Industry I’ve worked in over the last 25 years.”
The actor went on to explained that as much as he loved the industry he worked in, he had endured “hardship” as well as “continued rejection”, “constant knock backs” and “disappointment on a massive scale”, which has led to his loss of self-confidence.
The soap star explained that with the help of a coach, he “re-addressed” his “work-life balance” and in turn, started coaching people himself to help them “get to where they want to be”.
Joel offers various methods to accompany his clients, including coaching, hypnotherapy, neuro linguistic programming, and cognitive behavioural therapy.
The actor’s character was best known for his role as Alfie Moon’s cousin.
In 2016, Joel revealed he would’ve loved to join Coronation Street “for a stint”, because he “really missed being in a soap.”
“It’s like having a proper job,” the life coach said.
He told Insider Soap at the time that he had never missed an episode of Corrie, and that his favourite characters were Mary and David, who he found “just brilliant”.
