Coronation Street ‘s Daniel Brocklebank, who plays Billy Mayhew on the soap, has posted an emotional update with his fans after his beloved dog Dorris underwent surgery.
He welcomed the Dachshund into his family in April this year, joining his first dog Colin, as he told his fans: “Please let me introduce you to the latest member of the Brocklebank household.
But it seems that Dorris has been through a lot in her first few months in her new home, as Daniel revealed she had to be taken to hospital for surgery.

He issued an update on his social media account as he tanked the Dogs Trust for looking after his beloved pet pooch, penning: “Little Dorris had a little op yesterday.
“She’s recovering fine and being spoilt rotten. Huge thanks to the brilliant vets for looking after her so beautifully. Huge thanks to the brilliant vets at the Dogs Trust for looking after her so beautifully.”
Meanwhile, Daniel has also been dealing with a lot recently, as he had to share a warning with his fans that he was being impersonated online, with someone making an Instagram account in his name.
He told fans: “I have only one Instagram account; the one you’re currently looking at.
“If you get a message or follow from any account other than this one. It’s not me. Please report and block.”
Meanwhile, he also left his fans swooning as he unveiled his new boyfriend Jordan Coulthard in a snap on his official Instagram page.
Sharing a loved-up snap of themselves looking into each other’s eyes, Daniel opted for a navy shirt and grey shorts, while Jordan opted for a patterned shirt with grey trousers.
Daniel captioned the snap: “Very proud of this one @_coulthard. His latest single is out today!! #GoldenBrown. Check it out! The link is in his bio.”
Jordan replied: “And thank you for standing by my side,” adding a red heart emoji.
