ITV The Chase’s most successful quizzer exposed as two surprising stars fight for top spot

The Chase viewers have all witnessed some huge wins and heartbreaking losses on the ITV quiz show, as the Chasers fight off teams every day to stop them taking home a huge cash prize.

The teams try their best to stay in the show until the final round, but the fast-paced finale has proven to leave the last ones standing crumbling under the pressure.

But the statistics from the show prove that there are some Chasers the teams really don’t want to walk onto set if they want a chance at walking away with the money.

This gives her a win percentage rate of 79.3%, putting her out in the lead ahead of the next most formidable Chaser, Darragh Ennis.

Whilst Ennis has only appeared on 62 episodes of their show, he has certainly made the most of it as he has won a whopping 49 games, meaning he has only conceded 13, giving him a success rate of exactly 79%.

Jenny Ryan just misses out on second place with a win rate of 78.9%, putting her just 0.1% behind after 228 appearances and just 48 losses.

Mark Labbett recently shared an upsetting insight into what it is like to lose as a Chaser, as he shared his disappointment at watching one of his losses aired on the ITV show.

He wrote on social media: “I had a breakdown prior to the final chase, was utterly demoralised by yet another star team.”

Paul quickly supported his co-star: “”It’s easily lost we’re not robots, we’re human beings trying our best. Whatever you see on screen is a snapshot of us at an unspecified moment sometime in the last 18 months.”

He added: “We could have been under stress for any number of reasons, much of [which] may be long forgotten.”

The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV.
