Kate Garraway has broken her silence after her husband Derek Draper was rushed into hospital last month.

Now, in an unearthed interview with Lorraine Kelly, the TV presenter explained why she no longer discusses her husband’s health online.
She told loveable Scott last month: “The thing I’ve been really aware of is people saying, ‘Oh she’s talking about that again’.
“I don’t want to go on about it because what I’ve learnt is you only really know what it feels like until you’re there. You imagine it, but you don’t know.
“I now get contacted every day, which makes me feel less isolated, by, genuinely thousands of people saying, ‘Please say more because we are struggling’.”
Hello magazine previously reported Derek’s most recent bout of ill health took place back in October after he contracted sepsis.
Kate also mentioned “another crisis” took place over the festive period last month but decided to give no further details.
She continued: “It’s a long onslaught. I can see he has better days; he has worse days. He is thankfully at home now. It’s been a long battle to get him back home again.”
It comes after the broadcaster revealed her daughter suffered a gruesome injury after she got her ears pierced, as she admitted she was “unsure what to do.”
During Friday’s visit to the ITV studios, the blonde bombshell returned to the helm with her co-host Ben Shephard where the discussed the ongoing crisis facing the NHS across the country.
The presenter went on to open up about her parenting dilemma after her daughter’s ear would not stop bleeding.
She explained: “She went to pull it [the earring] off and the whole earring went inside her earlobe.
“This is not life or death but it’s probably not gonna stop bleeding. It doesn’t feel like a GP thing because it’s going to have to be looked at so we went to A&E.
“We were there until 4.45am from 11pm. I knew that was fair enough because it wasn’t life or death.”

Kate continued: “But there was only one doctor in A&E for kids and the waiting room was full of children coughing and wheezing. All of them said to me I would have gone to the GP but I knew I couldn’t get in.
“It’s a real dilemma because you don’t want to be one of the parents filling up A&E with inappropriate things, but you’re not sure quite what else to do.”
