Love Island's Olivia previously applied for ITV2 show but wasn't picked by bosses

Love Island’s Olivia Hawkins is one of the nine sexy singletons heading into the infamous villa on Monday night (January 16).

With the aim of finding love and having an epic time in the very lavish location, Olivia will be heading in alongside seven other OGs and a bombshell.

The 27-year-old actress, who has been a body double for Michelle Keegan in the past, has now opened up about whether or not she applied for the 2023 winter series, or was approached.

“I actually applied back in 2019,” she said when asked if she had applied for the show herself or had been approached by producers to appear.

Olivia then explained how back in the summer (2022), she was “still single” and the show had her details on a “database”.

“My information was probably still on the database, so I got contacted,” she said.

Elsewhere in her chat, Olivia spoke of how she plans to remain within the realms of acting when she comes out of the villa.

With the brunette beauty also revealing what she would take into the villa if she was allowed.

“I don’t know if I am allowed,” she told us, “but I’d quite like chewing gum.”

She then admitted: “I think with the microphones, it might be a bit annoying.”
