S Club 7 member Paul Cattermole had a relationship with fellow member Hannah Spearritt and despite their romance coming to an end, they remained close friends.
Paul sadly passed on Thursday April 6 and his family and friends released a statement announcing his “unexpected” death.
“It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole,” they wrote.

“Paul was found yesterday, April 6 2023 at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon. While the cause of death is currently unknown, Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances.
“Paul’s family, friends and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time.”
Band member Hannah was reportedly “absolutely devastated” and “broke down” at the news.
A source close to her told the Mirror: “Hannah is inconsolable. This came as a massive shock, and she is struggling to believe he is no longer with us.”
“Just as they rekindled their friendship, the worst happened. The band are all in pieces.”
Paul and Hannah got together in 2001, a year before Paul left the band.
They were together for five years before they split and had kept their romance a secret, sneaking out with one another to avoid being caught.
He told The Sun: “We each had a chauffeur-driven limousine and to keep the relationship secret I would let mine take me home to St Albans before I drove myself to London to stay at hers.
Paul ultimately left S Club 7 in 2002 and four years later, Hannah bagged an acting role on BBC hit show Primeval.
But according to late singer, her agent told her she needed a famous actor boyfriend to break into TV.
Hannah then got romantically involved with her Primeval co-star Andrew Lee-Potts who looked a lot like Paul.
Following Hannah’s new relationship with his ‘look-a-like’, Paul started drinking heavily and claimed his career suffered.
“I didn’t get the opportunity to do anything for years when I got swapped for a lookalike on Primeval,” he said.
Paul later added how it took him “years” to get over it.
Hanna and Andrew-Lee got engaged in 2008 after two years together.
But in 2013, the pair had called it quits.
Hannah and Paul ultimately rekindled their relationship over a decade later in 2015 but things fizzled out for good when Hannah got with her personal trainer Adam Thomas.
However when Paul and Hannah, who at the time dumped Adam, reunited at the reunion tour in 2015, Adam wasn’t too happy.
He told The Sunday People: “Hannah moaned to me until she was blue in the face about Paul – she said he was so fat he could hardly dance. And now she’s with him.
“He’d moved into my bed before it’d got cold – that’s the biggest kick in the teeth.”
In the years since, Hannah got back with Adam and now has two daughters with him – Tora and Taya.
Hannah and Paul reportedly met up in January to resolve their issues following years of disputes.
A source told The Mail that the pair had met in January and “sorted out their differences” before Paul’s untimely death.
“They have sorted out their differences and are even on good terms now for the first time since they can remember,” the source revealed.
“The whole group are doing the reunion tour and it was important for them to move forward so no one felt awkward. Everyone wants this to be a time for all involved to relive the magic and make great memories.”
