Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Lisa Rinna was recently defended by her husband after she announced she will be leaving the show.
Harry Hamlin admitted that he thinks her honesty and disdain for injustice often got her into “a lot of trouble” during her time on the show.
Lisa’s husband spoke to PEOPLE about his spouse and praised Rinna for her interactions with her co-star.

Hamlin explained: “[Lisa] does her job. Her job is to show up on time, interact with the people on the show in an honest and authentic way.”
Harry continued: “Her hot button issue, I suppose, is injustice or when somebody else is not behaving honestly, she’ll call it out and that gets [her] into a lot of trouble, but it also helps the show.”
The 79-year-old went on to defend his wife against criticism against her that has surfaced throughout her time on Real Housewives.
Hamlin said that he “has known her for 30 years” and during that time, she has “never once uttered an untruth”.
“…and yet, she’s being accused of being a liar on the show. And I don’t pay much attention to that because I know that she isn’t,” exclaimed the actor.
Harry continued to defend his wife and said that there will “always be 50% of people who like you and 50% who hate you,” but understood that Lisa’s bold personality may mean that more people have a strong attitude towards her.
The Clash of the Titans star thinks that the “like-hate factor” toward Rinna may be more than most people’s – potentially an “80/20” split.
Lisa has had a few run-ins during her time on the Bravo show, including with her co-star Kim Richards after she mentioned Lisa’s husband.
Things got heated during a trip to Amsterdam when Lisa quizzed Kim on her sobriety, so in retaliation Kim suggested “talking about her husband”.
Rinna took things personally and threw a drink at Kim before she smashed a wine glass on the table and warned her co-star “not to ever talk about her husband”.
Two weeks prior to Harry’s comments about Lisa she announced that she will be departing from the Bravo show after an eight season run.
