Chatting about Madonna’s appearance at the Grammy’s on Sunday night (February 5), Richard read out the Material Girl’s tweet where she slammed those hating on her looks.
Madonna has been met with harsh critique over her appearance during her attendance at the Grammy’s, with former GMB host Piers Morgan even critiquing her looks.
Taking to Twitter to criticise Madonna’s appearance at the famous American award’s ceremony, Piers said: “I thought Halloween was in October? [shocked emoji].”
And with many other people critiquing Madonna’s looks, the singer hit back overnight.
“Once again I am caught in the glare of ageism and misogyny that permeates the world we live in,” she said in her social media post.
After Richard read out Madonna’s post, Susanna gave her views on Madonna and praised the singer.
“She’s 64 years old and I think she’s damned if she does, and damned if she doesn’t.
“Because if she aged naturally, people would still be focused and obsessed with how she looks,” she explained.
She then added that she thinks Madonna should “just look however she wants to look”.
“She should feel proud of herself,” Susanna went on.
Good Morning Britain airs weekdays at 6am on ITV1 and ITVX.
