But it wasn’t the quizzing that left viewers quick to discuss under the show’s hashtag, it was Joe’s outfit.
Sitting at the end of the panel, Joe from London could be seen dressed up to the nines in his scarlet coat with a string of medals on display.
Confused fans took to social media in an instant when they spotted Joe’s outfit, with some rather confused.
“Interesting attire Joe,” wrote one viewer.
While another said: “Joe got told it was fancy dress.”
“Why is Joe wearing a uniform and medals? Is he off to a reunion after the show?” asked a third.
Before a fourth asked: “Wonder what Joe did for a living?”
Bradley then introduced all of the contestants, with Joe explaining that he was a Chelsea Pensioner from London.
“Chelsea Pensioner! Legend,” wrote one viewer when they realised.
“Loving Chelsea Pensioner Joe’s uniform,” penned a second.
A third then said: “I already like Joe he looks awesome.”
Joe is a Chelsea Pensioner, which is a resident at the Royal Hospital Chelsea in London, Chelsea.
Although named a hospital, it is in fact a retirement and nursing home for former members of the British Army.
Speaking to Bradley about being a Chelsea Pensioner, Joe spoke of life in the Royal Chelsea Hospital.
He revealed that he runs a quiz on Monday in the hospital, as well as there being plenty of other things for the residents to do.
Joe then explained how he’d like to win some money to see some friends in Melbourne or to do a battlefield tour of the American civil war.
The Chase airs weekdays at 5pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
