Charlotte Church had telly fans fearing she was going to do a ‘Janet Jackson’ and reveal more than she intended to while taking part on The Chase Celebrity Christmas special.
The show which went out this evening was a repeat of last year’s Christmas special with Dr Zoe, Danny Carroll and Saira Khan – and saw the Welsh singer romp home to victory against the Chasers with a cool £92,000 for charity.
But it was more Charlotte’s other assets than the monetary ones she was accumulating which had The Chase fans in a tizzy. The star kept jumping around with excitement in a low cut dress.

Even bending forwards to take her high heels off so she could concentrate better on winning the money up for stakes. Charlotte said: “I’m going to have to take my shoes off. If I am going for 92 I’ve got to take these shoes off.”
To a further round of applause and laughter, Charlotte added: “Just cannot do heels. It’s just too much. Okay.”
Charlotte told host Bradley Walsh how it was 24 years since he watched her singing as a little girl when she was 12 and how she sang for American presidents Clinton and Bush in the White House: “Couple of times babes.
“It was crazy I went over to America and was really successful in America it was such a whirlwind I think being a working class family. It just felt a privilege like all that travelling meeting amazing people we were just full of wonder and awe.”
She soared through the questions asked by Bradley at lightening speed to bank £8,000 before facing The Beast as Alice in Wonderland and playing for £92,000. The 36-year-old showed off her rugby knowledge to an impressed Bradley answering questions correctly on the South African rugby team.
As the stakes got higher Charlotte started making excited noises, screams, and moving around frenetically prompting viewers to worry her dress might pop open and end up flashing a boob like Janet Jackson who flashed her nipple accidentally during her Superbowl performance. Taking to X formerly known as Twitter fans wrote: “Don’t wriggle too much Charlotte you might do a Janet Jackson.”
Another said: “Charlotte Church is very animated.” And a third posted: “Charlotte Church is bloody gorgeous.” A fourth cheekily commented: “Twitter dads watching Charlotte Church” alongside a video of a man spraying a water bottle everywhere. And a fifth said: “Charlotte Church is just stunning. TheChase.”
Taking her shoes back when she had won and was through to the final, a down-to-earth Charlotte said: “Oh don’t show them on camera they are absolutely battered.” To which Bradley replied: “So am I darling.”
