The Chase quizmaster Jenny Ryan is demanding an apology after a major pre-show blow

The 41-year-old brainiac, who is better known as The Vixen, took to social media to reveal that one of posters for her new cabaret show Out of the Box was vandalised.

In a jaw-dropping X thread, Jenny spilled the tea, saying: “Feeling gutted about this,” accompanied by a picture of the poster she self-funded.

She continued: “I’m self-funding my Fringe run, no promoter. Due to the cost, I only bought a handful of poster boards, including one big one, wide enough to really show off the beautiful poster design.

“Anyway, some other act has glued their poster over part of it. They didn’t ask.”

The new poster took up the entire right-hand side of the Vixen’s large landscape poster.

Jenny blurred out the details in the culprit’s poster, but shared that the problem would not be easily reversible since removing it would likely cause damage to her own.

“99.9% of people here wouldn’t dream of doing anything so rude.

Most people are here to create art, provide entertainment, and develop themselves. None of that is a zero-sum game — so we choose to support one another, not undermine. That’s why this is (mostly) a great time,” she said.

Jenny, who has financed the show herself, believes that many of the bigger acts performing at the Fringe may not have noticed one of their billboards being covered up.

“That’s my only wide board, one of 10 posters I have up around town (others have dozens of more) and I shed a tear when I paid the invoice,” The Chase star admitted.

The Free Fringe replied on Twitter, saying: “As soon as we saw this, we told the act to remove the poster (which they have now done) and contact Jenny with an apology and an offer of compensation. We are considering the rest of their run depending on the outcome.”

Jenny replied, saying: “Thank you to PBH for acting so promptly and defending the integrity and spirit of Fringe. Looking forward to my apology!.”

Jenny will perform her cabaret show at the Gilded Balloon for the Edinburgh Fringe from August 19 until 28.

This is the first time the TV star is performing since appearing on Celebrity X-Factor in 2019.
