The View in chaos as Whoopi Goldberg caught up in live on-air fart blunder

Whoopi Goldberg was left red-faced after an on-air blunder interrupted The View.

Goldberg and her co-stars were discussing classified documents found in Joe Biden and Mike Pence’s homes.

Sunny Hostin then turned to Alyssa Farah Griffin to ask her whether it was true that “Trump had nuclear secrets”.

Alyssa began to reply that it had been “reported” but no-one “knows the specifics” before she was interrupted by a flatulence sound.

Whoopi and her fellow host Sara Haines were clearly distracted by something and Sara quickly stood up from her chair.

Whoopi was caught up in the blunder

As she did so, a loud farting noise erupted and Alyssa awkwardly laughed as she tried to continue on with her conversation.

Sara exclaimed as she wiped down the desk in front of her, which appeared to be covered in liquid of some kind.

She then explained: “Whoopi spilled water and now it’s on my pants!”

Alyssa then laughed at the “spillage on the other side of the table” and the co-hosts saw the funny side of things.

The hosts were all distracted

Joe Behar told them to “forget about it” and continue on with the discussion while Whoopi and Sara quickly tried to clean up the water and save their cue cards.

Alyssa tried to continue but couldn’t remember her spot and laughed at Whoopi’s antics as the Sister Act star sat beside her.

Goldberg eventually spoke and the camera switched over to her before zooming out to show Sara still trying to clean the area.

The on-air blunder comes after The View was forced to take some time out.

They tried to maintain their composure

After an explosive row, the popular talk show was taken off-air as they resolved a heated discussion.

The panel were talking about Critical Race Theory and the sensitive topic appeared to ruffle some feathers.

After an outburst, Whoopi tried to explain her point and “demanded” to see a book that teaches the subject.

However, while Goldberg was finalising her point, the show’s theme tune began fading in – but Whoopi was not done with her statement.

She finished off her discussion and producers quickly cut to a commercial break.
