Strictly’s Len Goodman tragically died aged 78 after a short illness.
The famous TV judge was battling bone cancer and passed away surrounded by his nearest and dearest in a hospice in Tunbridge Wells, a spokesperson confirmed to MailOnline.

As the news circulated, tributes for the telly favourite flooded in, including sweet posts from fans, friends and co-workers.
Craig Revel Horwood led the way as he wrote: “I’ve just woken up to the sad news that my gorgeous colleague and dear friend Len Goodman has passed away.
“My heart and love go out to his lovely Sue and family. Len Goody Goodman is what I always called him and “It’s a ten from Len and seveeeeern” will live with my forever. RIP Len.”
Fellow Strictly judge Bruno Toniolo said he will “treasure” the memories of the “incredible adventures and hundreds of shows” with Len.
He said he was heartbroken over the passing of his “dear friend and partner for 19 years,” branding him the “one and only ballroom legend”.
Buckingham Palace said the Queen Consort was “saddened” to hear the news of the Strictly legend’s passing.
Lorraine Kelly announced the news on her morning show as she said: “We’ve heard some very sad news that Len Goodman has died, he was 78, we’re told that he’s died peacefully.
“Of course so many people remember him of course they do from Strictly Come Dancing and Dancing With The Stars.
“We understand that he died in a hospice and obviously all of our thoughts are with everybody who loved him. He was a smashing fella. Really really good guy. So that is very very sad news for us this morning.”
Piers Morgan took to Twitter to share a sweet tribute to the star alongside a photo of the pair as he wrote: “More very sad news from the world of entertainment… RIP Len Goodman, 78 – welder, dancer, judge, and devoted cricket & West Ham fan.
“Always had a laugh with Len, and swapped a few strong opinions. A quintessential Londoner and a top bloke.”
Ex Strictly contestant Dan Walker wrote: “So sad to hear about the death of Len Goodman. He was an incredible man & an extraordinary talent.
” Loved making telly with him, being daft with him, playing golf with him & will never forget the little tips he would send every week on Strictly. All my love to his family.”
Claudia Winkleman wrote: “I’m so sad about Len. He was one of a kind, a brilliant and kind man. Full of twinkle, warmth and wit. Sending all my love to his family and friends.”
GMB favourite Susanna Reid also remembered the TV star as a “legend and the definition of a proper gent”. She added: “He was a beautiful man with a huge sense of humour who had such a mischievous turn of phrase.
“I’ll never forget ‘all bounce, bum & bongos’. My love to his family.”
Strictly star James Jordan wrote: “OMG I just saw the news about Len Goodman dying. I’m actually devastated – what an amazing man that was always lovely to me and Ola all our years of knowing him.
“He is a Strictly Legend! RIP my old friend My thoughts are with all of his family at this difficult time.”
Rob Rinder, who also appeared on the show, wrote: “A rare gentleman: Kind, charming, exacting, encouraging and danced like a dream. Thank you for bringing so much joy. RIP Len Goodman. It’s a 10 from us all.”
