Emmerdale fans will meet Caleb and Ruby Milligan’s daughter Stephanie this month after weeks of mystery.
The ITV soap is rolling out the red carpet for two fresh faces in the village and that the bombshell entrance of Steph and Ruby’s father Anthony is going to send shockwaves through the Milligan clan.
Steph, played by the fab Georgia Jay, is smart as a whip, brimming with confidence, and doesn’t think twice about taking risks. She’s been off the grid from her parents for over 10 years, and it’s obvious she’s inherited all their traits good, bad, and a bit of a narcissistic streak when it comes to winning.
Opening up her new gig, Georgia gushed: “I am thrilled to be joining the cast of Emmerdale. The cast and crew have all been so welcoming and I’m very excited to see what lies ahead for Steph, given her intriguing backstory.”
Meanwhile, Nicholas Day is stepping into the shoes of the charming Anthony, who’s chilled out a lot over the years. He might seem like a nice bloke to everyone else, but his daughter Ruby Beth Cordingly) hasn’t clapped eyes on him for more than three decades, reports Leeds Live.
With Ruby’s mum passing away recently , she’s got no choice but to face the music and get back in touch with her dad. Reflecting on his stint in the Dales, Nicholas shared: “I’ve been made so welcome in the Emmerdale family. And my screen family is great to work with, the scenes just fly. No kidding – I feel blessed.”
Emmerdale’s boss Sophie Roper couldn’t hide her excitement, sharing: “We’re delighted to be welcoming Nicholas and Georgia to Emmerdale as part of the Miligan family. With so much yet to discover about Ruby, the arrival of her father and daughter will unlock her past and see Ruby and Caleb tested in ways we’ve never seen before.”
She added a teaser for fans, gushing: “With two actors of such great calibre, they’re certainly set to make their mark on the Dales.” Anthony and Georgia are set to turn heads when they make their debut later this month.
Emmerdale airs weeknights on ITV1 at 7.30pm and available to stream from 7am on ITVX
