Glastonbury 2024 drink prices exposed – and water is almost as much as booze

Glastonbury 2024 is finally here – and it’s not just the ticket prices that are breaking banks.

Gates open today (June 26) for the world-famous festival in Somerset, and with mild temperatures expected, many people will be wanting a drink to cool down and let loose. But after the drink prices were revealed online, festival-goers might have to limit themselves.

Amazingly, some soft drinks are more expensive than booze. According to an image on the Glastobation X account, half pints of draught options cost between £3.30 and £3.50.

Meanwhile, a half pint of soft drinks like Coca Cola, lemonade or even orange juice cost £3.00. And a 250ml can of Red Bull will set you back almost a fiver, at £4.75.

Water isn’t much cheaper, with a 330ml can costing £2.50. There are, of course, stations to fill up your own water bottles, but for anyone who has left theirs at home, they can pick up an official Glastonbury one for £7.50.

Pints of draught options won’t be too shocking to those heading to Somerset from London, with prices ranging from £6.50 to £7. However cans, including alcohol free Erdinger Alkholfrei (500ml) or Abslut Espresso Martini (200ml) range from £5.25 to £8.

For a 25ml spirit and mixer, punters are looking at £7.75, and for a double its £12.50. If you want Red Bull as a mixer though it’s £9.75 for a single or £13.50 for a double.

And if you want it on the rocks, a single serving of spirits will set you back £5.75.

For those wanting to push the boat out a little, there are a number of cocktails available, costing £9.50 or £12.50. And then there is a selection of wine, costing £7.75 for a 175ml serving, or £30 for a bottle.

Of course, if you’re after Prosecco, you need to cough up a bit more, with bottles costing a whopping £43.50.
