Chris Taylor is planning on sending a secret signal from the villa to the outside world during his time on Love Island All Stars.
The 33-year-old is heading back into the villa for another shot at love on the star-studded spin-off of the ITV dating show. The All Stars version has cast ex-Islanders like Chris and Georgia Steel and will return to its newly revamped luxury villa in South Africa.
But it seems Chris is has got some tricks up his sleeves this year as he’s come up with a cunning way to communicate with his family and friends at home. As Love Island fans know, Islanders have their phones taken away and aren’t allowed to speak to people on the outside.

But Barbie star Chris is willing to bend the rules. Asked if he was going to try out any cryptic gestures in front of the cameras, he told Daily Star and other press: “Yeah, me and the boys discussed one [laughs, which is this.”
He proceeded to show off the signal, which involved him sliding his hands together so that his fingers were interlocked and wiggling his two middle fingers out from on top and underneath. Explaining what it means, Chris went on: “That means I’m okay.
“So basically, in every scene that you see me doing this, you’ll know that I’m fine. You’ll see me doing that for however long I’m in there.”

Revealing which former Islanders he fancies, Chris picked Samie Elishi from last year’s winter series and Joanna Chimonides from 2019. However, he also revealed that one rumoured contestant has slid into his DMs before and that they’d previously spoken a bit.
This could be fellow All Stars contestant Georgia Harrison given that she admitted to fancying Chris. And this could mean romance is already on the cards if they bump into one another on the show.
Chris isn’t the only cunning singleton to communicate via signals. Ekin-Su, from the 2022 series, used to style her hair in plaits to show her friends she was missing them. And Toby Aromolaran, also starring on All Stars, sneakily made the hashtag symbol with his hands to greet his Hashtag United teammates watching at home.
Love Island All Stars airs Monday 15 January at 9pm on ITV1 and ITV2.
