Madonna breaks silence on ‘near-death experience’ as she thanks family for support

Madonna has expressed her heartfelt gratitude to her kids following what she described as “a near-death experience” last year.

The Queen of Pop, aged 65, faced a major health scare when she had to put her 2023 tour on hold due to a “serious bacterial infection” that landed her in intensive care.

After bouncing back, Madonna resumed her North American performances and launched the tour in London at The O2 in October, before jetting off for shows across the US, Canada, and Mexico.

She continued, revealing the challenges they overcame together: “Rehearsals began over a year ago with almost a two month break waiting for me recover from a near death experience. They never stopped practicing… they never stopped cheering me on and supporting me.”

Madonna didn’t hold back her pride, stating: “There enthusiasm kept me going! ! ! They were also going to school and rehearsing every night! ! (I) am so very proud of all of them.”

Reflecting on the life lessons imparted, she added: “I think what my children learned the most this year of rehearsing and performing is that if you want to follow your dreams, you have to work hard for them. And if all of them choose something different later in life, they will never forget this year of blood, sweat, and tears. Nor will I.”

Her touching post was accompanied by snaps of some of her children sharing the stage with the seven-time Grammy-winner during her hit-packed tour.
