The Chase host Bradley Walsh was left halting the show to help a player ‘rig the game’ – and even asked for his share of the winnings.
The hit ITV gameshow was back on TV screens on Friday (January 26) as telly legend Bradley welcomed four new quizzers. As fans tuned in, he introduced contestants Penny, Phillip, Max and Anya before they battled it out to take home the all-important cash prize.
This week the quartet were up against Jenny Ryan, also known as The Vixen, who made sure to bring her A-game against the wise quizzers. But things took an awkward turn when it was Max’s time to play.

During his cash builder, Max only managed to get £1,000. The Vixen offered him £60,000 for the high offer and £0 for the low.
Feeling brave, he opted to go for the high offer of sixty grand leaving everyone shocked. So much so, that Bradley halted the show to ‘rig the game.’
Escorting him off the stage, Bradley put his arm around Max and told him: “Listen I like you a lot. I think you’ve got a lot of potential. Are you sure about this?”
The player replied: “Yeah why not,” as Bradley brought him back to the table. But then suddenly, Bradley turned him back round and leaned in to him.
Whispering, he said: “At the desk when I bang once, it’s A, twice it’s B and three times it’s C. Don’t forget it, six grand is mine. 10% good luck.” The rest of the team laughed at Bradley’s joke – and even The Vixen cracked a smile.

However, Max ended up getting caught by The Chaser during his cash-builder. This meant in the final round it was just Phillip who was competing, as Penny and Anya had also gotten the boot.
During the tense last game, Phillip managed to get 18 questions correct. Sadly, chaser The Vixen caught him with 27 seconds remaining.
