Katie Price has been forced to pull out of an appearance at Barnsley Pride this weekend after she was expected to headline the afterparty at a nightclub
Katie Price has reportedly pulled out of a major event just days before she was set to perform.
Organisers have cited “unforeseen circumstances” as the reason. The 47-year-old was scheduled to appear at Barnsley Pride this weekend as part of the UK’s summer Pride celebrations, and was due to headline the afterparty at nightclub Funny Gals.
The news was shared on social media by the afterparty organisers who wrote: “Important announcement. We sincerely apologise to all our visitors who are looking forward to join us for our Barnsley Pride 2025 events.”
They went on to confirm that Katie would no longer be headlining, stating: “Unfortunately, due to unforeseen circumstances, Katie Price will no longer be headlining our Funny Gals Main Stage / After Dark Official Pride Afterparty.”
The event organisers said they were “disappointed” by the development, adding: “We want to make it clear that this is beyond our control and that we are genuinely disappointed, as we were very excited to have her as part of our line up of amazing acts.”
It had previously been advertised that Kerry Katona, 44, would be the headliner but Katie was said to have stepped in after her friend pulled out, reports the Mirror.
They stated: “Additionally, the original headliner Kerry Katona also had to cancel due to personal reasons. The entire team here at Funny Gals shares in this disappointment, and we deeply regret any inconvenience or disappointment caused.”
The organisers assured that despite the changes, an “incredible line-up of acts” is still set to take the stage, featuring a range of performers including X Factor’s Sami Brooks, a Pink tribute act, and others. Vicki Vivacious, a drag artist from RuPaul’s Drag Race UK, will also appear at the afterparty.
Katie Price was recently seen performing at Portsmouth Pride, where she had an “amazing night” and sang hits like We Don’t Have to Take Our Clothes Off and I Got U. She was joined on stage by her daughter Princess Andre and reality TV star Ella Morgan, who have been at the centre of speculation due to Ella’s rumoured romance with Katie’s partner JJ Slater from Married at First Sight.
However, Katie made light of the situation and declared that she and Ella “love each other”.
