David Beckham’s emotional ‘I love you son’ message to Brooklyn as he extends olive branch

David Beckham has sent out a major olive branch to son Brooklyn as he looks to draw a line under the family feud by sharing emotional family snaps on Instagram

David Beckham has extended a significant peace offering to son Brooklyn as he attempts to put an end to their family rift.

The footballing legend, aged 50, posted snaps of his clan on Instagram, including son Brooklyn, 26, who has been notably missing from family gatherings throughout this year, captioning them: “You are my life [heart emojis]. I love you all, love daddy. On to 2026 x”.

Beckham shared an intimate shot of himself and Brooklyn pressed cheek to cheek, accompanied by the words: “I love you all so much.”

A striking black and white photograph showed wife Victoria relaxing on a sofa, cuddling baby daughter Harper whilst being surrounded by her three lads Brooklyn, Romeo and Cruz.

Brooklyn, who live in Los Angeles with wife Nicola Peltz and is eight hours behind his Cotswolds-based father, is yet to share any posts as the New Year approaches.

The affectionate family updates from David come straight after his 2025 highlight compilation, which notably excluded any appearance from Brooklyn.

The montage included moments such as Victoria’s Paris Fashion Week presentation and photographs of his offspring Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20 and Harper, 13, enjoying holidays and precious moments together.

David penned: “I feel very lucky to have had the year I’ve had in 2025 full of moments that I will never forget from my 50th to my knighthood (still pinching myself ) and then finishing with winning the MLS as an owner.”

While avoiding naming Brooklyn specifically, David tenderly celebrated his “kids” and expressed his affection for them.

It comes after Brooklyn and Nicola shared snaps of their Christmas celebrations. The pair looked all loved up as they posed in matching PJs.

In their joint post they wrote: “We wish everyone a merry Christmas and a happy new year filled with so much love, peace and happiness.”

Signs of tension first emerged earlier this year around David Beckham’s 50th birthday celebrations, when fans spotted that Brooklyn and his wife were noticeably missing from the lead-up and ultimately failed to attend the event altogether.

The couple appeared to completely overlook the former England skipper’s landmark birthday, offering no public well-wishes, before continuing with their lives in the US.

Not long after, Brooklyn and Nicola renewed their wedding vows in a private ceremony that reportedly did not include any members of the Beckham family.

Things now seem to have reached a breaking point, with Brooklyn unfollowing both of his parents on social media. Observant fans later claimed that David and Victoria had followed suit, fuelling speculation that the family rift has deepened even further.
