David and Victoria Beckham’s New Year’s Eve posts included their son Brooklyn, despite him blocking the family on social media before Christmas amid an ongoing rift
Victoria Beckham and her husband Sir David celebrated New Year’s Eve in glamorous fashion, with the former Posh Spice donning one of her own creations for the festivities. Yet beneath the glittering facade and celebratory mood, the ex-Spice Girls star’s mind was clearly dwelling on her eldest son Brooklyn, 26, with whom the family remains embroiled in a devastating rift.
The aspiring cook has currently cut all communication with his parents and siblings, even taking the drastic step of blocking them across social media platforms just days before Christmas.
However, devoted mother-of-four Victoria was determined to send her firstborn a clear message that he remains constantly in her thoughts and that reconciliation remains possible whenever he’s ready.
The 51-year-old fashion mogul reposted a touching monochrome photograph that David had shared featuring himself and Brooklyn, where the former England football legend penned, “I love you all so much,” accompanied by a red heart emoji. David also uploaded another black-and-white family portrait including Victoria and their entire clan, captioning it: “You are my life, I love you all, love Daddy. On to 2026.”
This represented yet another deliberate and very public peace offering from Brooklyn’s father, demonstrating that his eldest remains firmly in their hearts – despite Brooklyn’s apparent snubs during significant milestones throughout the previous year, including David’s 50th birthday celebrations in May and his knighthood ceremony in November, both of which went unacknowledged. On New Year’s Eve, Brooklyn’s sibling Cruz posted a sunny throwback holiday photo of himself and their famous father on his Instagram story, reports the Mirror.
However, Romeo didn’t share any family posts to ring in the New Year – neither brother has yet responded to their dad’s heartfelt New Year post.
Sir David’s 2025 year-end social media post didn’t allude to any family tension, instead highlighting the positive events of the past year. Interestingly, he didn’t include a single photo of Brooklyn, but did share snaps of Romeo, 22, Cruz, 20 and Harper, 13, enjoying their holiday.
Accompanying a series of images, he penned: “I feel very lucky to have had the year I’ve had in 2025 full of moments that I will never forget from my 50th to my knighthood (still pinching myself ) and then finishing with winning the MLS as an owner.”
He added, “I’m so grateful to my incredible wife, my amazing children, my friends and team I work with every single day nothing would have been possible without you all… But as Sir Alex Ferguson would say “Onto the next. ” Thank you for the incredible memories I will forever remember 2025 @victoriabeckham I love you and our kids.”
Despite speculation of a Christmas reunion with his UK-based family, Brooklyn chose to spend the festive season in America with his actress wife Nicola Peltz, where they reside.
The origins of the unfortunate rift that has shaken the Beckham family are believed to have started in the run-up to Brooklyn’s wedding to Nicola in Miami, when she opted not to wear one of Victoria’s designs for her walk down the aisle.
The divide seemed to solidify when Brooklyn was conspicuously missing from David’s star-studded 50th birthday bash last May, having also been absent for his mum’s 51st birthday in April.
In a revelation last December, Brooklyn’s younger brother Cruz disclosed that he, along with his siblings and parents, had all been blocked by Brooklyn on Instagram – although he still follows his aunts and grandparents on the social media platform.
