Former Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas is currently on tenterhooks as his partner Lucy Mecklenburgh could go into labour while he takes part in ITV’s The Games.
Ryan, 37, along with twelve other famous faces will take part in the sporting programme which will see celebs compete in a number of sporting events.
However the star confessed that former TOWIE star Lucy could give birth any time soon, which he hopes doesn’t happen.
Talking exclusively to Daily Star at a recent round table event, he said: “I know that it is imminent.
“It’s going to be happening anytime soon and I do feel like it could during the show but you know I just got keep my fingers crossed that it’s not the case so I can get the job done.”
Despite his worries, Ryan expressed that the show will be taking place fairly close to a hospital, just in case anything was to occur.
He added: “I’m not far from here though, we’re not far from to get to hospital so that’s good.”
Lovebirds Lucy and Ryan first met in 2017 while competing on the reality show Celebrity Island With Bear Grylls.
The couple also share their two year old son together, Roman.
Lucy has been in full support of Ryan’s journey on The Games and recently shared a picture of her partner looking buff on her Instagram story.
Captioning Ryan’s shirtless pic, she penned: “While I’ve been getting fatter, he’s been getting fitter! Haha. Very proud fiancé watching him work so bloody hard training in nine sports for @thegamestv and also adding extra training on top of that & sticking to a stricter diet than normal.
“Then on his “rest days” & evenings taking the kids out and helping with daddy duties!
“It’s taken a lot of will power and determination these last 12 weeks & I couldn’t be more proud of him!”
She finished off the message by saying: “The first LIVE show is tonight at 9pm on ITV1 can’t wait to watch with my tub of ice-cream.”
