Jurgen Klopp may not love him anymore, but that doesn’t mean the Liverpool goalkeeper Loris Karius hasn’t got admirers in other places after a rollercoaster romantic life away from the pitch.
The German stopper is remarkably still at the club despite falling down the pecking order to fifth-choice at Anfield behind Alisson Becker, Caoimhin Kelleher, Adrian and Marcelo Pitaluga. But he is expected to depart once the season has concluded, with his contract set to expire at the end of June.
Karius hasn’t played for Liverpool since making two colossal errors in the 3-1 Champions League final defeat to Real Madrid in May 2018 and has spent time on loan with Union Berlin and Besiktas. He is not expected to be part of the squad for the Champions League final against Real Madrid in Paris on Saturday. But it is fair to say he has enough on his plate away from his life as a footballer to keep him occupied, as Daily Star Sport looks at the long list of his former lovers and admirers.
Janine Wiggert
Speculation persists that the latest woman linked to Karius is influencer Janine Wiggert after the footballer reportedly became smitten with the mother-of-two. Wiggert is prominent on Instagram with 1.3m followers and currently resides in Berlin, where the goalkeeper spent time on loan in the 2019-20 season.
Wiggert is a beauty influencer and often posts sizzling snaps in bikinis that leave little to the imagination. The German bombshell’s Instagram profile is littered with posts from glamorous locations and sunny beaches as she regularly travels around the world to fuel her luxury lifestyle.
After recently celebrating her 30th birthday, it was widely reported in the German media that Wiggert and Karius had visited each other in Germany and England, although the pair are yet to officially confirm their relationship on social media.
Sophia Thamalla

Karius was exposed last year after leaked photos appeared to show him cuddling and kissing with another woman on holiday in Mykonos while he was supposedly still in a relationship with Sophia Thomalla. The 28-year-old was then forced to clarify on Twitter that things were already on the rocks between the pair before apologising.
“Yesterday, Sophia and I were leaked photos from my vacation that show me with another woman,” he tweeted. “It is unfortunately true that we have drifted apart for a long time. I am sorry that it is now falling apart and I would like to apologise for that.”
Reality TV star Thomalla, 32, has appeared as a host of TV shows such as Are You The One?, a German show that is not too dissimilar from the UK hit series Love Island. The pair split in June last year, and she is now dating controversial tennis star Alexander Zverev.
Ianthe Rose

Karius’ dating record suggests he is not exclusively into dating women from Germany after a brief fling with Made in Chelsea star Ianthe Rose. The pair were spotted together doing some grocery shopping in Cheshire back in 2018, fuelling rumours that they were an item.
Ianthe, 26, whose full name is Ianthe Rose Cochrane-Stack, works as a full-time model. She is a former partner of Calum Best, son of late Manchester United legend George, and for a while it seemed she had moved on to be with Karius.
However, she distanced herself from the Kop star after being sent death threats following the Champions League final, writing on social media: “I have been threatened that I will be stabbed in my organs, that my family will be killed, being told they are already dead, being told to kill myself, that the Russian mafia are after me etc etc.”, She claimed that she had been single for a year, bringing an abrupt end to their brief fling.
Annelie Alpert
When Karius announced his move to Liverpool in 2016 from Mainz, Alpert was his girlfriend at the time and made the move with him to Merseyside.
The loved-up couple posted romantic pictures on each other’s Instagrams, with Alpert writing “keep shining” about her man when he secured the move to the Premier League.
Unfortunately, the pair split shortly after the move to the UK after dating for two years. German beauty Alpert, also a fashion model, now lives back in Hamburg and keeps a relatively low profile residing in her homeland.
Pamela Reif
Karius swiftly moved on after finishing his relationship with Alpert to start dating fitness model Pamela Reif in November 2016. The stunning mode was only 20 at the time but had captured a huge following in Germany due to her workout videos on YouTube and raunchy bikini snaps.
Reif once spoke out about the attention she gets for her snaps, mostly from men: “I get an incredible amount of feedback. People write me that they started with sport because of me. Guys tell me that their girlfriends started training with me because they love me.”
The pair did not date for long and, now based in Dubai with her new love, fitness guru Reif has over eight million followers on Instagram, dwarfing Karius’ total of 1.8m. While his fortunes have nosedived since the final four years ago, it seems she has landed on her feet after ditching the Liverpool flop.
Mia Khalifa
For all of his faults as a goalkeeper, Karius can always rely on his looks to gain some messages of support — even from the most unexpected places. Ahead of the 2018 final against Madrid, he posted a picture of himself with the caption: “Eyes on the prize”.
To some people’s surprise, including Mario Balotelli in the comments, pornstar Mia Khalifa took a shine to Karius and posted a flirty message to make her admiration of the Liverpool man clear.
“Is he the prize? Because….,” she wrote underneath the comments, with some ‘eye’ emojis for good measure. It is unclear whether Karius took notice given the magnitude of the game, but one can assume that with a simple click on her profile would have been enough to distract the goalkeeper.
