A Place In The Sun star Laura Hamilton has revealed the secret to her bikini body – her own home gym.
The property guru, 40, has spent the past year renovating a house and has included a workout space. Mum-of-two Laura often wows fans with swimwear snaps from sunshine holidays.

She says: “I bought a house, knocked it down and renovated it in the past year.
“I put a little gym in for myself and have a fitness regime with my friend, who is living with me at the moment, and we work out. I think having a workout partner keeps you motivated.
“I work out first thing in the morning when the kids are in bed before I take them to school. I aim for five days a week but it’s probably going to end up being four.”
But Laura doesn’t get too worried about her weight.
“I don’t weigh myself,” she says. “I don’t think it’s good to get hung up on weight. It’s just how I feel, and to feel healthy is more important to me than what the scales say.”
Laura is learning to fly and hopes to get her pilot’s licence within the next few months.
She says: “I’m learning to fly so I can fly myself to my own travel destinations.
“I’ve done 16-and-a-half hours so far, so I’ve still got a way to go, but I’m enjoying it and I’d like to get my licence this year – fingers crossed.”
Laura has presented Channel 4’s A Place In The Sun for more than 10 years, helping house-hunters find their dream holiday home abroad.
She says: “I love travel, people, property and the brand. I’d very much like to carry on doing it, and it makes me happy.”
Laura, who split from her husband of 10 years Alex Goward last year, also had a special experience when she went to South Africa to film.
Her dad Ian, 70, who had a stint as Great Uncle Bulgaria in the Wombles spin-off band in the 1970s, was born in Wynberg, Cape Town, and Kent-born Laura paid the place a visit.
Ian was adopted in the UK when he was four. His father – Laura’s grandad – died at sea in 1956 and his mum committed suicide. He has never gone back.
Laura says: “His dad was in the navy and there was an accident and he died on board the ship. He ended up – I hate to say it – being thrown overboard, and I guess they’d do a funeral at sea so to speak.
“His mum was pregnant at the time when the dad died, and unfortunately when the baby was born he died of alcohol poisoning because she had been drinking too much in her pregnancy.
“She ended up drinking a bit too much and committed suicide.
“It is a very tragic story and I think it’s why my dad has always been fearful of going back. Everyone says to me you should go on Who Do You Think You Are? to really track back and find out, because there is family in South Africa.”
Laura is keeping an eye on Dancing On Ice, now back on our screens, after taking part in the contest in 2011. She came second to ex-EastEnders star Sam Attwater.
She’s been too busy to continue with skating, but is still in touch with some of her fellow contestants.
Laura says: “I just got a message from Denise Welch asking if I want to go and watch it, and I’ve just
messaged her back and said, ‘100% yes’.
“I get messages from Sam Attwater, and Jeff Brazier sometimes.”
