When it comes to life in prison, the last thing people would think of is a life of luxury.
But one prison in Norway is considered to be the most luxurious of them all as it houses some of the most famous prisoners.
Halden Prison is a maximum security prison which cost over £138 million to build and has had zero prisoners escape.

The prison offers it’s plush weekend chalets, with a comfortable bedroom boasts a flat-screen TV, an en-suite bathroom and living area with a fully equipped kitchen and a private garden.

Some reports even claim the lags are given sex visits twice a week and they even dine-on sushi.
In a Channel 5 documentary, former prison minister Ann Widdecombe met a man who bargained with police to be imprisoned there.
Younis was sentenced to 13 and a half years behind bars for drug dealing and attempted murder – but spent the start of his sentence in another prison.
He was only moved to Halden Prison after he escaped and made a deal with police that he would turn himself in to move there.

Speaking to Ann about how he got there, Younis explained: “I told them I want to go to Halden prison.
“We are here and we are very lucky. We have many options here so we can get an education.
“This is very important, I cannot come out from prison with nothing, with just a bag in my hand. Then I will go back to the same.”
Ann asked him how long it took for him to be moved after applying – to which he replied: “Three days. I escaped. When my case happened, I escaped.

Then I made a deal with the police to come back. I told them in the deal that I want to go to Halden and they say ‘okay, when you come back, we’re going to fix’. That’s why it took three days.”
Ann Widdecombe was flabbergasted by his story as she claimed something like that wouldn’t happen in the UK.
“I don’t think you would find that happening in the UK, that an escaped prisoner would bargain with police for where he was going to go to prison,” she said.
“That’s a fascinating insight. I can’t imagine this be happening in the UK, the public would be scandalised.”
