Emmerdale fans ‘work out’ who dies in barn blaze after explosion – and it’s not Moira

Emmerdale viewers are certain that Nate Robinson is set to meet his end in the upcoming barn fire at Moira Dingle’s farm.

Recently, Moira (portrayed by Natalie J. Robb) has been dealing with health issues and when a harmless interaction with Nate Robinson (Jurell Carter) is exaggerated, her behaviour takes a turn for the worse.

In the coming week, Cain Dingle (Jeff Hordley) spots his wife Moira and son Nate from an uncomfortable angle and jumps to the conclusion that they have shared a kiss, leading him to demand answers. However, he quickly resorts to violence, beating up his son which triggers memories of past events in Moira’s mind.

Shaken and stressed by the unfolding events, she slaps Cain causing him to leave. Shortly after, Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) shows up at the barn to taunt Moira but soon feels sympathy for her when she doesn’t respond to her jibes.

Moira begins to spill tractor fuel in the barn as Ruby’s voice starts to merge with that of her old enemy Emma Barton, who Moira killed back in 2017. A distressed Moira then points her shotgun at a terrified Ruby, reports the Manchester Evening News.

Overwhelmed, Moira locks the barn, seeing Emma instead of Ruby. The situation escalates when Moira fires a warning shot into the air, scaring Ruby, as the shot hits a light bulb, igniting a spark.

A struggle for the shotgun results in Moira knocking Ruby unconscious with a blow to the head. It’s not long until a disoriented and shaken Moira snaps out of her daze, leaving her bewildered.

The barn’s alight and Moira’s rooted to the spot by Ruby’s lifeless form. Up yonder, Mackenzie Boyd (Lawrence Robb) clocks the smoke spewing out and frantically tries to bell Moira.

Mack’s calls through to Cain, Caleb Milligan (William Ash), and Chas Dingle (Lucy Pargeter), who bolt for the blazing barn. Mackenzie and John Sugden (Oliver Farnworth) rock up flustered at the barn and without a second thought, they’re in there.

Even though Cain’s annoyed with his wife he ain’t hanging back and as the fire is roaring, he’s legging it towards the inferno.

Chas is all over the gaff, trying her best to keep Cain from belting into the flames. They find themselves trapped inside as the fire rages when suddenly there’s an explosion.

A colossal blast sends them sprawling. Will any of the villagers come out of this nightmare in one piece?

Emmerdale fans have been speculating on who they think, if any, will die in the terrifying ordeal with some suggesting Nate might meet his maker in this shocking turn.

On Reddit, Emmerdale buffs are buzzing with theories: “Is Nate going to die in the fire? Who knows.”

Another chucked their two pence worth: “I think he’ll get badly injured in the fire doing something heroic to save Moira / one of the kids. Then there’ll be a final scene with Cain where they put everything right, and then he’ll die. And it will make me.”

And a third pipes up: “Yeah, I think it’ll go along those lines too. I just hope he and Cain don’t end on bad terms.”

“Nate talked up an explosive ending but he could be having us on”, added another.

Emmerdale airs weekdays at 7:30pm on ITV1 and ITVX.
