Myleene Klass opened up and got tearful about her tragic miscarriages, after suffering a total of four.
Speaking at the W Channel Spring Launch, to celebrate the Channel moving onto Freeview (Channel 25) and Freesat (Channel 156) from Monday, March 28, Myleene shared her thoughts with the Daily Star.
Myleene wiped an incoming tear and said: “Even now, it’s not going to be easy to talk about with anybody.
“it’s not as you plan it, you have an idea and when you’re growing up but as you get older but it’s certainly not the case. If it’s one in four pregnancies, you think of the thousands of women it’s happening to every single month. Why aren’t we talking about this?
“My children doing biology lessons now and happily talk about how you get babies, but why don’t we ever talk about when it goes wrong? when you look at a classroom, it’s going to happen to a quarter of them, minimum.”
She continued: “My children are in the documentary and my partner too, a lot of people say ‘when are we going to hear from the men?’ It’s the bravest thing as a family we could have done.
“We really did leave ourselves wide open and very bare but I don’t feel like you can tell a story like that without explaining exactly how it is as there are other people going through it.”
The former Hearsay star then revealed what drove her to make her W Channel documentary, Miscarriage & Me: Myleene.
Myleen continued: “Between me and my manager we had eight miscarriages. We were both going through something very similar and it was the worst baton we kept passing to each other.
“We said to each other so many times, why won’t anyone talk about this?”
After being praised for how strong she has been through all of her life hurdles, she disagreed and revealed: “I haven’t really been at all. I have crumbled on many occasions. It’s not even sensationalising it, there is not a woman who will tell you that it is something that you ever forget or get over.
“I think you learn to deal with the grief around it but you never stop thinking about what happened, ever…”
