Hollywood star Jeremy Renner is in a “critical but stable” condition after an accident involving a snow plough.
The 51-year-old actor, who played Hawkeye in several Marvel films, was airlifted to hospital after the accident on Sunday (January 1), his spokesperson told US media.

He is now with his family and is “receiving excellent care”, the spokesperson added.
Although the location of the accident hasn’t been revealed, the actor reportedly owns a house near Lake Tahoe, according to news site the Reno Gazette-Journal.
He also posted a video last month which showed him cruising around in the snow in a quiet woodland area.
The actor shared a clip of himself driving in the car alongside the caption: “Monday morning Pre winter preparation couldn’t be more fun !! #reno #tahoe.”
It comes after the region was hit by a serious winter storm on New Year’s Eve, which left thousands of home without power.
It meant dozens of roads had to be closed across northern California and parts of Nevada.
Renner himself posted a photo on Twitter showing his car completely covered in snow.
He acknowledged the heavy snowfall in the caption which read: “Lake Tahoe snowfall is no joke.”
Renner is currently starring in a new US crime thriller Mayor of Kingstown, where he plays Mike McLusky.
According to the description by Paramount+, the show “follows the powerful McLusky family, power brokers in Kingstown, Michigan, where the business of incarceration is the only thriving industry.
