An 80s pop icon has left fans stunned with her youthful looks after showing off her glowing appearance.
Legendary singer-songwriter Susanna Hoffs recently celebrated her 65th birthday and took to Instagram to mark the occasion with a makeup-free video. The star, who rose to fame as one-quarter of the all-female American band The Bangles, opened up about how she feels about ageing as she declared herself “older and wiser.”
Susanna looked fresh-faced as she donned a brown dressing gown and wore her brunette locks in a natural tousled style as she beamed at the camera. She shared a few words of wisdom with her followers as she said: “I’m 65, yeah time marches on but it’s all good. No makeup, it’s gonna be okay. Getting older is okay, it really is, older and wiser.”

But shocked fans quickly flooded the comment section to claim she’s aged like “fine wine”. One person wrote: “Gorgeous from day one. And now you’ve gone and discovered how to age in reverse.”

Another commented: “Some people age like fine wine.. you are one of them. Looking absolutely gorgeous.” A third added: “If I look like you at 65 I will consider myself beautiful and blessed.”
Some even thought she looked decades younger. One person commented: “You are stunning!!! Look like you’re in your 40s!!!”
Another wrote: “If I saw u in the street I would have thought 36-39 the most..” A third agreed, adding: “Yes but you look 45!!!”

Susanna has spent more than four decades in the spotlight since founding The Bangles alongside Annette Zilinskas and sisters Debbi and Vicki Peterson back in 1981. The pop-rock band went on to achieve huge success, with hits including Eternal Flame, Walk Like An Egyptian and Manic Monday.
Their second album, Different Light, became their first major hit and was certified multi-platinum in the US, UK, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. It was followed by their 1988 album Everything, which included their best-selling single Eternal Flame.

Susanna later revealed during an episode of Soundtrack to My Life that she actually recorded the hit completely naked in the studio. She explained their producer convinced her Olivia Newton-John got her amazing performances by recording everything naked and so Susanna decided to follow suit, not realising she was being pranked.
Everything marked another multiplatinum hit for the band but just months later they shocked fans by announcing their split. The Bangles had always strived to split the singing and songwriting equally among the group but as their career started to peak, Susanna was often branded as their lead singer by the media and this reportedly caused tension among the band.

However, they eventually managed to reconcile and in 1999 they reformed and Susanna has been touring with the band ever since. Their last album, Sweetheart of the Sun, was released in 2011.
Susanna has also dipped her toe into the world of Hollywood with cameos in several blockbusters. In 1993 she married filmmaker Jay Roach, who she shares two sons with.
Jay produced the Austin Powers franchise, Meet the Parents, Dinner for Schmucks, Brüno and many more. As a result, Susanna has appeared in several of her husband’s films, including all three of the Austin Powers movies.
