Suspense has been building for weeks after Linda Carter murdered Keanu on Christmas Day when a row broke out between him and Sharon Watts and her life was at risk. Stacey, Kathy, Suki and Denise all witnessed the awful crime and helped with the cover-up.
An agreement was made by all six who were now involved that they would remain tight-lipped on the situation after they’d buried Keanu underneath the floor of the cafè together. The pact was in place and they’d thrown police off of the scent telling them the deceased had fled Walford on the run after attacking Nish Panesar.
Little did they realise at the time of concealing the evidence that Denise’s necklace had landed on the dead body underneath the concrete. Now worried that Jack’s wife would find herself at the centre of the murder, Stacey and Denise come together to retrieve the item of jewellery.
However, when doing so, they were rumbled by policeman Jack, who is also Denise’s wife and Stacey’s recent former lover. He confesses his love for Denise and insists on taking on the role of opening up the crime scene to get her necklace back.
Reluctantly, Stacey and Denise agree and both flee the scene leaving Jack to dig up the concrete alone. Just as he’s about to make the discovery, drunk Bernie and Alfie Moon (who had literally just returned to the soap) break into the Cafè for chips.
Luckily, Jack manages to flee the scene without being noticed and with the necklace safely in his possession but leaving the grave wide open for Bernie and Alfie to discover. However, fans watching in angst are convinced that Jack Branning, Stacey Slater and Denise Fox will all end up behind bars after they made a massive faux pas.
Taking to Twitter with their theories fans pointed out that “CCTV” could link all three to crime scene on the night that it was uncovered. One person questioned: “Don’t forget about the CCTV that would have spotted Jack, Denise & Stacey popping in and out of the cafe all the time.”
A second person agreed: “They’ll all be caught out on the cameras for sure.” While a third person wondered: “Those teenagers that were running around the Square- who knows what they’ve seen and could potentially bring down the Six. #Eastender @bbceastenders.”
