Migos rapper Takeoff has been shot dead in Houston aged 28.
Takeoff was a member of Migos with his rapper pals Quavo and Offset.
His real name was Kirshnik Khari Ball and he was fatally shot at a bowling alley.
The incident took place after around 2.30am Houston time when he and Quavo were playing dice.
The rap star was unfortunately pronounced dead at the scene.
Two other people were also shot and have been taken to hospital, with Quavo being unharmed.
Tributes have poured in for the late rapper on social media as news of his passing spread to fans worldwide.
Boxer Chris Eubank Jr. said: “I remember Takeoff being a very down to earth, cool dude. Can’t believe I’m having to say this again about another young black star being killed for no reason, something really has to change in the industry.”
Takeoff began his rap career with Quavo and Offset, his uncle and cousin, respectively.
In 2008, the trio started out under the collective name Polo Club.
However, in 2011, the group released Juug Season, their debut mixtape under their new name Migos.
The group are best known for their Lil Uzi Vert collaboration track Bad and Boujee which was released in 2016.
His bandmate Offset is also famous for being married to Cardi B, who he shares two children with, Kulture and Wave.
Migos also released some other top tracks such as well as MotorSport, with Nicki Minaj and Cardi B.
Additionally, Walk It Talk It, with Canadian superstar rapper Drake.
Takeoff released one album as a solo artist in 2018 titled The Last Rocket, which debuted at number four in the US charts.
