Ben Shephard thrilled as 'David Walliams lookalike' wins Tipping Point jackpot

Tipping Point presenter was delighted as a player named Tom won the jackpot at the end of Tuesday’s episode.

When the player, named Tom, first appeared on the episode, fans quickly insisted he looked similar to Britain’s Got Talent host David Walliams.

They took to Twitter to share their thoughts, as one wrote: “Why is David Walliams on Tipping point dressed as a vicar?”

While another messaged the BGT judge and said: “David Walliams care to explain?”

A third added: “Tom is really David Walliams trying out his new ‘Father Tom’ character.”

“Let’s hope Tom/David Walliams has God on his side,” penned another.

After making it to the final, Tom was playing for the hugely sought after £10,000 jackpot.

He managed to get the jackpot counter close to the edge but ran out of coins to play.

However, he was then given the chance to gamble for an extra three chances at winning.

He bravely took the trade and it paid off as he won the £10k prize.

Ben said after his win: “Maybe he had someone else on his side”.

Viewers have been left baffled over the festive period as Tipping Point has broadcasted at a later time.

On Monday, fans were perplexed as when they tuned in to watch the show at the usual time of 4pm, Tenable was on instead.

It was a Bank Holiday, so schedule times had been rearranged to make room for festive favourites.

Viewers flocked to Twitter to share their confusion, as one wrote: “Who said they could push #tippingpoint back by 35 mins though?”

While another penned: “My Ying and Yang is all t**s up after they moved #tippingpoint.”

Tipping Point airs weekdays at 4pm on ITV.
