Coronation Street’s Geoff Metcalfe has been sickening viewers for months, as he subjects wife Yasmeen Nazir to a torrent of abuse.
In upcoming scenes, Geoff’s (Ian Bartholomew) vile history will reportedly come to light, as Ayla Nazir discovers the skeletons in his closet.
Ayla (Sair Khan) apparently begs grandmother Yasmeen (Shelley King) to leave her unhealthy relationship with Geoff behind after making the shocking discovery.
According to The Sun Online, the bistro manager starts digging around for answers when Geoff begins to raise her suspicions.
Ayla is apparently floored by what she finds, unearthing something horrific from Geoff’s past relationships.

A source reportedly told the publication: “Alya has always known that there’s something dodgy about Geoff but she will really begin to pay attention soon.
“She will become determined to save her grandmother from him no matter what the cost.”
“Alya digs into his past and finds an old news report about an assault he committed on another woman and confronts her grandmother with it.

“She desperately tries to make her see sense but it looks like Geoff’s got too strong of a hold on Yasmeen by that point.
“He worms his way out of it and the storylines going to run and run but Alya has him in her sights and will do whatever it takes to save her grandmother.”
A Coronation Street spokeswoman told the publication: “We don’t comment on storyline speculation.”
