Coronation Street ‘s Gail Platt (Helen Worth) stunned viewers tonight with her choice of outfit as she spoke to her son David Platt (Jack P Shepherd) about his one night stand with Alina Pop.
However, fans were distracted from the emotional chat as they noticed Gail’s unusual outfit, as they joked it looked like she had joined the priesthood.
Gail was wearing a white top underneath a black top, pairing it with a black blazer and a necklace, making it look like she was wearing a dog collar.
They rushed to social media to look at the wardrobe blunder, as one posted: “Has Gail joined the priesthood?!”
Another added: “Has Gail taken Billy’s job?”

A third chipped in: “I haven’t seen Corrie in years. Has Gail joined the priesthood?”
Meanwhile another gushed: “Gail’s hair just getting bouncier and bouncier.”
Despite Gail trying to comfort her son over his complicated love life, he is set to struggle with his feelings even more after being told by his wife Shona that she wants a divorce.

She has forgotten who he is after losing her memory after being shot, and her criminal son Clayton Hibbs has filled her head with lies about who David is.
In Wednesday’s episode, Gail and David will have a blazing row about his life, causing him to storm out of the house in anger.
Drinking and stumbling around the streets, he will be brutally attacked by a gang of thugs at knife point.
David will be held at knifepoint and mugged in scenes this week
