GMB interview in chaos as MP abruptly leaves after clashing with Piers Morgan

Good Morning Britain suffered a huge blunder on today’s show as an MP abruptly “left” during his interview.

55-year-old presenter Piers Morgan was grilling Tobias Ellwood about the governments new coronavirus advice.

However things turned to chaos after the MP clashed with Morgan and his camera quickly cut off.

Tobias Ellwood was debating the new lockdown plan with Piers, Susanna Reid and two other guests after several government ministers were revealed as boycotting GMB.

Piers didn’t hold back as he asked Tobias what he thought of the new guidelines and also remarked that Boris Johnson “didn’t look well”.

Piers asked the MP what he thought of Boris’ “confusing” comments during last night’s daily briefing. Tobias shot back disagreeing and saying he thought the Prime Minister was “on form”.

Tobias continued to urge people to appreciate Boris’ “hard work”, but Piers grilled him further and played a clip of the PM giving “contradictory” advice.

Tobias hit back, and the two men clashed and began shouting over each other.

He told Piers he’d chosen a small clip of Boris’ speech, saying to the presenter: “We can take a three or four second clip of you and say you’re not on board…”

Piers interrupted him, challenging him to find a clip “where he said one thing and then said something else”.

Tobias abruptly disappeared from the video call completely, leaving the hosts stunned.

Piers said: “Oh no we’ve lost him” while Susanna joked: “Think he’s gone to find that four second clip…”

Viewers were left raging on today’s episode as they were frustrated with Susanna and Piers’ interview techniques.

Fans claimed the presenting duo kept “interrupting” and “talking over” Dr Hilary Jones during their discussion about new lockdown rules.

Viewers flooded Twitter, outraged at the way the chat with Dr Hilary was conducted.

One said: “Piers and Susanna if the 2 of you would zip it we all might hear what the doc is saying he’s got more knowledge than you 2.”

While another fumed: “OMG is Dr Hilary going to get a word in?”
