Kylie Jenner's cosmetics CEO quits after six months amid Forbes row controversy

Kylie Jenner has found herself at the centre of yet another business headache after the CEO of Kylie Cosmetics just six month into the role and just weeks after Forbes demoted her from billionaire status.

In January beauty company Coty signed a partnership with Kylie for a reported $600million (£479million).

At the time Christopher Honnefelder was announced as CEO.

However, Honnefelder is now stepping down reportedly “before he even started to work”.

The decision is said to be due to “personal reasons” and is not linked to Kylie’s separate Forbes row.

It has now been confirmed that Simona Cattaneo who is currently serving as President Luxury Brands will step into the role of CEO.

A Coty spokesperson said: “[Cattaneo] assumes these responsibilities from Christoph Honnefelder, who announced to the senior team internally a number of weeks ago that he would not be assuming the role of CEO of Kylie Beauty for personal reasons.

“Under Simona’s leadership we are excited by the opportunities for the Kylie Beauty business, as indicated by the very successful recent launch of Kylie Skin in Europe.”

The move is yet another spanner in the works for reality TV starlet Kylie who hit out on Twitter last week after she was stripped of her billionaire status.

The magazine alleged that Kylie Cosmetics may have filed false information to exaggerate the success of the brand.

Defending her record, the mum-of-one said: “What am I even waking up to.

“I thought this was a reputable site… all i see are a number of inaccurate statements and unproven assumptions lol.

“I’ve never asked for any title or tried to lie my way there EVER. period.”
