Molly Mae Hague livid as she splurges £75 on leather face mask which doesn't fit

Former Love Island star Molly Mae Hague has taken to Instagram to vent her frustration after she splurged £75 on a leather face mask that didn’t fit.

The 21-year-old was less than impressed when the item that she’d purchased from Selfridges didn’t fit her face properly.

As a social media influencer, the reality star often uses her platform to review products, giving an honest overview for her 4.4million fans.

Attempting to model the mask in the back of taxi as she headed out for a night on the town, she quickly discovered the major flaw with the item.

Taking to social media to document her view as the item didn’t appear to fit as she’d hoped, Molly Mae said: “Hahhahaha wow, deffo should have tried it on before I bought it. Love that for me.”

Clearly unhappy with her purchase, she followed up with second snippet to blast her dismay.

Sharing a picture of the signature yellow Selfridges bag and the deep red and leather mask, she penned: “Worst money I’ve ever spent in my life.

“That’s taught me for trying to be cool with a leather mask.”

The high priced product in question belonged to American label Candice Cuoco, with the TV starlet purchasing the burgundy lambskin mask.

Molly Mae hit the headlines last week, as she took to Ibiza with her beau Tommy Fury, who she’d coupled with on the ITV matchmaker programme.

During her Spanish trip, she came up against internet bullies and had to speak out about being cruelly body-shamed.

Other Love Islander’s also came forward to defend Molly in the fight against trolls.

Chum and former co-star India Reynolds, who models and has often faced negativity herself, weighed in on keyboard warriors explaining “more needs to be done to police bullying online”.

She added: “I felt really sorry for Molly Mae, she looks absolutely gorgeous.

“I do think it’s unfair that women are targeted as they’re just looked at literally for their bodies, whereas people need to start looking beyond that and not judging.”
